Senior Paul Benjamin Named Illinois State Scholar by ISAC.

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) has proudly unveiled its roster of 2024-25 State Scholars, and among the distinguished recipients stands our very own senior standout, Paul Benjamin.

The ISAC, renowned for its dedication to recognizing academic excellence and potential, annually selects a cohort of students who embody outstanding scholastic achievement, leadership prowess, and a commitment to community service. This year, Paul Benjamin’s name shines brightly among the select few chosen for this esteemed honor.

Paul’s journey to becoming an Illinois State Scholar epitomizes dedication, perseverance, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence. Throughout his tenure at CLS, he has consistently demonstrated the qualities that the ISAC holds in high regard. His stellar academic performance, coupled with his leadership abilities and dedication to service, has earned him not only the admiration of his peers but also the recognition of educators and mentors alike.

In recognition of his achievement, Paul will receive a congratulatory letter from the ISAC, acknowledging his remarkable accomplishment as an Illinois State Scholar. This prestigious honor serves as a testament to Paul’s exceptional talents and his potential for future success.

The criteria for becoming an Illinois State Scholar are rigorous, with students required to meet specific academic benchmarks. Those with an Illinois Standard Test Score (ISTS) of 31 or higher are automatically designated as State Scholars. Additionally, students with an ISTS lower than 31 but with a weighted selection Score (WSS) greater than or equal to the cutoff score of 47 also earn this designation. Paul Benjamin’s attainment of these requirements underscores his academic prowess and dedication to excellence.

Paul’s achievement not only reflects his success but also highlights the exceptional education offered at CLS. Our school is committed to equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive as lifelong learners. Through a robust and formative curriculum, we empower our students to excel academically, develop strong leadership qualities, and cultivate a passion for learning that extends far beyond the classroom.

Paul Benjamin’s recognition as an Illinois State Scholar is a shining example of the caliber of students that CLS produces—individuals who are not only academically strong but also possess leadership qualities and a fervent desire to succeed. As we celebrate Paul’s achievement, we also reaffirm our commitment to providing a nurturing and challenging educational environment that prepares our students for success in college, career, and beyond.

Congratulations, Paul Benjamin, on this well-deserved honor! Your dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence serve as an inspiration to us all. We look forward to witnessing your continued success and contributions to the world around you.
