Double Honors: High School Soccer Teams Celebrated for Academic Excellence
In this recent announcement, United Soccer Coaches celebrated outstanding academic performances by high school soccer teams during the 2022-23 academic year.
Among the recipients, Christian Life School stood out as one of the 39 schools that received double honors, earning the award for both their boys’ and girls’ teams. This success highlights the CLS Soccer Team’s dedication to academic success, showcasing the value of education in the realm of sports.
To qualify for this award, teams were required to attain a minimum GPA of 3.25 for the entire academic year. The collective GPA of each team was determined by summing the individual GPAs of all players and dividing the total by the number of players on the team.
United Soccer Coaches annually applauds the academic accomplishments of high school soccer teams across the nation. This recognition serves to emphasize the importance of achieving excellence not only on the soccer field but also in the classroom. The awards inspire student-athletes at CLS to continue balancing their passion for sports with a dedication to their education.
