Connection Important at CLS
After over a year of feeling very disconnected due to the pandemic, Christian Life School decided it was time to take advantage of their in-person learning and re-connect with their families. They are doing this through an umbrella of initiatives launching this 2021-2022 school year called CLS Connect! With a plan to include even more opportunities for networking and fellowship, and with extra caution and care in the midst of the pandemic, leadership has hit the ground running with delivering these opportunities.
Recently, the elementary school hosted Donuts with Dad and Muffins with Mom, a before-school breakfast where parents joined their kids in their classrooms before school to visit and socialize with other parents. The hope of this event was to build community with other parents as the school year kicks off.
Effort Made for New Families
This summer the CLS Marketing Team held a parent focus group and much of the feedback emphasized the desire for new parents to interact more with their peers and also with their children’s teachers. They also expressed a desire to be educated on “the little things” that are second nature to the veteran families. In an answer to that request, the school has implemented two new initiatives. The first being “New Parent Gatherings,” the opportunity to hear the vision of the school from Dr. Jeff Bogaczyk. This event was for new families and gave them the chance to interact with leadership and ask questions.
The second initiative is “30/60/90 Day Check-Ins.” These are designed to have resources available for new families to get information as needed about some of the most pressing FAQ’s. Experts in various departments will be on hand to provide assistance and there will also be a built-in networking opportunity.
Focus on Prayer
As the school year presses on, more CLS Connect! events will be announced. Continue to join us in prayer for the best school year yet! The pray card below is designed to guide those that are committed to lifting CLS up in prayer each day (hard copies available in the main office).
