What classes and grade level(s) do you teach?

What do you love most about CLS?

I love being an educator for Christ! It is awesome to be allowed to speak, worship and pray to the Lord and speak about the Bible with my students, parents, and coworkers. CLS is a place where I feel not only comfortable doing these things but encouraged to do them.

Why do you like teaching at CLS?

I love it all! The parents are involved and supportive! The students are excited to learn, and the staff is amazing to work alongside.

How are faith and learning integrated at CLS?

Everything we do at CLS is faith based in my opinion. We pray to prepare ourselves for what the Lord has to teach us and (as teachers and students) we pray that we will communicate in a manner that will bring glory to God. We are allowed to praise God for the amazing things we learn about each day, we talk about how we are thankful for the blessings we experience here at CLS and in our lives. We can encourage our students to work hard and do their best because we strive to be prepared for the tasks that God has planned for us.

How do you make a spiritual impact on your students?

I try to show God’s love in all I do as a teacher. We talk continuously about why we do things and how they can bring glory to God.

What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?

I feel that I am a pretty well-rounded educator. I have worked with many different age groups and students from diverse backgrounds. I am good at communicating and passionate about learning. I believe that all students can learn and can achieve their goals. Each student is like a puzzle and finding out how to help them learn is the challenge that I look forward to each day!

What sets CLS students apart from other students?

I believe that CLS students are passionate about not only their academic lives but their spiritual lives and their growth in each of these areas. We are not only learning here at CLS but learning with a great purpose!
