CLS Alum Micah Anderson Shines at NCAA DIII Cross Country

Micah Anderson, an alumnus of Christian Life School, recently competed in the 2024 NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championships. He represented the Carthage Firebirds at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute. Notably, Micah finished the 8,000-meter race in 25:59. His performance, in turn, helped Carthage achieve its best team result in program history. https://athletics.carthage.edu/news/2024/11/23/mens-cross-country-firebirds-cap-off-historic-season-at-ncaa-cross-country-championships.aspx

Micah began running cross country in 6th grade at CLS. During high school, he not only qualified for state as an individual but also led the boys’ team to the state meet. As a result of his dedication, he earned a scholarship to Carthage, where he continues to excel.

Former CLS coach Marcy Hyllberg reflected, “Micah was not only a great runner but also a role model. He showed how hard work and perseverance pay off. Therefore, we are very proud of him.”

Ultimately, Micah’s success continues to inspire the CLS community as he thrives at the collegiate level.
