Christian Life School Preschool: Growing in Faith and Learning
At Christian Life School (CLS) Preschool, our mission is to glorify God by providing quality, Christ-centered education that prepares students spiritually, socially, and academically to impact their world for God. We offer programs for children aged two through four, alongside before and after-school activities for elementary-age children and non-school day programs. Our warm and loving environment ensures that your child will enjoy daily activities filled with fun, friends, and learning.
God-Centered Curriculum
Our professional staff provides a well-rounded curriculum that integrates biblical principles into all aspects of learning. We believe in teaching children about God’s love and guidance through every subject and activity. Our goal is to foster a biblical worldview, helping children understand and respect the diversity of God’s creation.
Open-Ended Activities and Milestone Development
We emphasize the importance of helping children reach age-appropriate milestones through open-ended activities that stimulate curiosity and creativity. Our curriculum is designed to meet the social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual needs of each child, encouraging independence and the development of individual talents.
STEAM and Spanish for K2-K3
For our youngest learners, we incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and Spanish into the daily routine. These activities foster early cognitive development and language skills, setting a strong foundation for future learning.
Preparing K4 Students for Kindergarten
Our K4 program is tailored to prepare students for the transition to kindergarten. The curriculum includes Bible study, phonics, art, motor activities, music, math, literacy, science, geography, and community awareness. Each day is structured to balance learning and play, ensuring children develop academically and socially.
Comprehensive Assessments and Family Involvement
CLS uses CDC assessments to monitor each child’s development. These assessments help teachers and parents identify areas where children may need additional support, ensuring personalized learning experiences. We highly value family support and participation, encouraging parents to volunteer and engage in their child’s educational journey.
Learning Through Play
At CLS Preschool, we believe that play is a fundamental element of a child’s life. Our curriculum includes various activities that promote creative expression, such as circle time, meal times, outside play, music, and free art. These activities are designed to nurture children’s growth and development joyfully and engagingly.
Respecting Individual Differences
We honor the individual differences of each child, fostering a multicultural environment that reflects God’s love for all His children. Our biblical worldview is incorporated into every area of study and play, ensuring a holistic approach to education that respects and celebrates diversity.
Daily Routine and Communication
Our structured daily routine includes designated times for rest, snacks, and various learning activities. Each child has a personal drawer or cubbie for artwork and school communication. Regular communication with parents is essential, and we encourage conferences with teachers and administrative staff to discuss your child’s progress and involvement.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for K4 students to discuss their development and progress. Parents of K2 and K3 students can request meetings throughout the year if they have specific concerns or wish to discuss their child’s progress.
Extended Care and Field Trips
We offer extended care before and after school, as well as on non-school days for elementary students. Field trips are an integral part of our curriculum, providing hands-on learning experiences. Parents are informed in advance and are welcome to accompany their child’s class on these trips.
Our Commitment
At CLS Preschool, we believe that every child is a unique individual created by God with special abilities and differences. Our dedicated staff is committed to creating an atmosphere that enables each child to achieve their God-given potential. Through a Christ-centered education, we aim to nurture children who are prepared to make a positive impact in their world.
