School Honors Local Pastors

October 30, 2018- Earlier this month, Christian Life School hosted a Pastor Appreciation Breakfast to honor area clergy. October is officially Pastor Appreciation Month and this is the 3rd year that Christian Life School has held this event.

Pastors of the churches attended by CLS students were mailed handwritten invitations from students. Other pastors from the community were also encouraged to attend. Nearly 50 gathered at Journey Church where the breakfast was held as they were allowed time to fellowship with one another and share a meal together. Highlights included a word of encouragement from Christian Life School’s own Head of School, Dr. Bogaczyk and an inspirational word from local Pastor of The Acts Church of Kenosha, Lawrence Kirby. Pastor Kirby spoke about relationships and encouraged pastors to not do life alone but to develop healthy connections with others also in ministry.

Midway through the morning, a crowd favorite included hundreds of elementary students joining the event to sing a sweet song lead by Elementary Music Teacher, Amy Kerr. This opportunity for them to minister through a song while also getting a chance to wave “hello” to their pastors was a special moment for all.

Christian Life School Marketing Director, Megan Wells, had this to say about the event, “The support of Christian Education from our churches is invaluable and the work they do for our community is priceless. Putting on this breakfast was the least we could do to show our appreciation.”
