National Honor Society Hosts Annual Blood Drive
Christian Life School National Honor Society students have been sponsoring an annual Blood Drive for the Blood Center of Wisconsin for over 10 years. This year, for the first time, we are hosting two drives: November 20 and February 19, 2018.
At our most recent drive on November 20th, we had over 50 blood donors scheduled to donate and we were able to collect 42 pints of blood. This will help save 106 lives in the Southeastern Wisconsin area. According to their website, “the Blood Center of Wisconsin is the only supplier of blood products to over 50 Wisconsin community hospitals.” This is especially significant since we are at the beginning of the holiday season when the demand is high.
Beth Feest, the NHS advisor for Christian Life School, states, “It is our privilege as a chapter of the National Honor Society to impact our immediate community with this life-saving gift and we look forward to increasing our numbers at the next drive to save even more lives.”
Thank you to the NHS students for giving back to our community by coordinating this event and donating valuable resources to this important organization. Watch for details on how to donate at the February 19, 2018, Blood Drive.
