CLS Leadership Changes for the 2018 School Year


March 13, 2018, Kenosha, WI-Christian Life School is excited to announce the following leadership changes beginning June 1, 2018.

Troy Tennyson:  Mr. Tennyson will be moving from his current role as Upper School Principal to Athletic Director. Tennyson has been feeling the call of God recently to embrace a different opportunity within the school. He believes God’s hand is in this move and loves the direction that the school is headed.

Tennyson has served as the upper school principal for the last 24 years. In total, Tennyson has served Christian Life School for 28 years. During his time at CLS, the school has grown tremendously and become one of the largest Christian schools in the state of Wisconsin. Tennyson looks forward to bringing CLS athletics to new heights.

Kevin Bryant:  Mr. Bryant will be moving from the Director of Advancement role at Christian Life School to the role of Upper School Principal responsible for overseeing all aspects of the 7th – 12th grade students and staff.

Bryant has been the Director of Advancement at Christian Life School since June 2017. Prior to starting at CLS, Bryant served for ten years in the North Carolina public schools as an athletic administrator and teacher. Growing up in southeast Wisconsin, Bryant is excited to oversee the next chapter of Christian Life’s Upper School.

Bryant holds a degree in Public Relations and Marketing and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. He is also currently completing his Masters of Science in Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Steve Powell:  Mr. Powell will be transitioning from the role of Athletic Director to Associate Athletic Director. In his new role, Powell will assist Tennyson in the running of the athletic department as well as assume some teaching responsibilities.

Powell has served Christian Life School for two decades in the role of Athletic Director.  During his time in this position, Powell has received numerous state and local awards.  Powell has also been responsible for growing our athletics program by introducing many new sports to CLS.
