Avery Held Wins DAR Youth Leadership Award
Honoring a Young Leader
Christian Life School proudly announces that 8th grader Avery Held has earned the DAR Youth Leadership Medal. The Daughters of the American Revolution present this award to one student per school who consistently demonstrates honor, service, courage, and leadership.
Rather than just recognizing academic achievement, the award highlights students who lead with character and make a positive impact in their communities. Avery truly fits that description.
Excellence in Every Area
Avery’s leadership shines in and out of the classroom. She plays an active role in the Middle School Student Council and recently joined the National Junior Honor Society. Academically, she continues to excel, maintaining her place on the high honor roll throughout the year.
In addition to her academic and leadership roles, Avery competes on both the Middle School Cross Country and Girls Soccer teams. Her coaches and teammates admire her dedication and encouraging spirit.
Leading by Example
More than just a list of accomplishments, Avery’s leadership is visible in how she treats others. She regularly volunteers to help classmates, steps in to support her peers, and approaches challenges with maturity and compassion.
Her consistent actions reflect the values CLS works hard to instill—faith, integrity, and service. Because of this, Avery inspires others to rise to their best
A Family’s Gratitude
Avery’s parents expressed their appreciation for her growth and the role Christian Life School has played in it. They shared:
“We are incredibly proud of our daughter and all she has achieved during her time at CLS. We are deeply grateful for the school’s mission to disciple and develop the next generation of leaders. The academic opportunities, spiritual mentorship, and leadership experiences she has received have been instrumental in shaping her personal and spiritual growth. We look forward with great anticipation to all that lies ahead in her journey.”
Looking Ahead
As Avery prepares to enter high school, we are confident she will continue to grow into the leader God has called her to be. Her influence already reaches far, and we’re excited to see how she continues to use her gifts for good.
Please join us in congratulating Avery on this well-deserved honor. Her example reminds us of the kind of difference one student can make when they choose to lead with courage and conviction.
