What do you love most about CLS?

What I love most about CLS is every day being able to minister to young people in a nurturing and uplifting Christ–centered school. To be able to share my faith openly and freely and build lasting, lifelong relationships with students and staff alike.

How are faith and learning integrated at CLS?

Faith and Learning go hand-in-hand at CLS. From opening each day with prayer, devotions, and praises, to incorporating these into musical selections of the great composers and hymn/songwriters. Worship is a BIG part of this process!

Each year, the concert band and orchestra minister in the community to spread God’s love through music and share the gospel and plan of salvation. This is one truly great and tangible way to touch many lives for the kingdom!

How do you make a spiritual impact on your students?

With God’s help, I try to model for the students Christ character and the fruits of the spirit. By living each day to glorify the Lord by example and to be available to pray and encourage students in their walk with God.

What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?

Having twenty-four plus years of teaching experience, I have a wealth of musical experiences and training to “bring to the table.” I’d like to believe it is my charisma, “charming” personality, joke telling, and to “shoot for the stars” expectations.

What sets CLS students apart from other students?

Enthusiasm for learning, thirst for knowledge, and hunger for God.
