Study Hall Supervisor
Get to know Study Hall Supervisor, Guadalupe Almaguer. Mr. Almaguer goes out of his way to minister to students and encourage them in their spiritual walks through relationship building!
What classes and grade level(s) do you teach?
I am the Study Hall Supervisor.
What do you love most about CLS?
Working with the youth!
Why do you like teaching at CLS?
It provides an outlet and opportunity to work with students on their walk with Jesus. It allows a relationship to grow and flourish.
How are faith and learning integrated at CLS?
During Chapel and through the teachers’ communication with the students.
How do you make a spiritual impact on your students?
I personally call a student here and there to my desk and we talk about life and I ask them their story. I ask them ways that I can help them by praying for them. I also hold a prayer group on Wednesday through Friday at 7 am until 7:45 am and we pray for the school and students.
What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
By providing a time to just listen to them and be an ear to their problems. I give them the sense of a judge-free zone to help them out with their issues through spiritual guidance.
What sets CLS students apart from other students?
The God that we serve is the key to the students’ walks. We are to be set apart from the world and at CLS that is what we strive to do: to be set apart from worldly views and thinking. The opportunity to praise and worship at Chapels is key and is what definitely sets us apart.
