1st Grade Teacher
Get to know 1st-grade teacher, Cicely Wadsager. As someone who is also a CLS parent, Mrs. Wadsager brings a unique perspective on how to best encourage and influence students.
What classes and grade level(s) do you teach?
I teach 1st grade.
What do you love most about CLS?
I love that my own kids and I can share our day together. Their Christian worldview has been impacted since day one. I’m so thankful for teachers who have made such a strong impact on students through the love of Christ. I didn’t have a school experience like kids are receiving here at CLS. We are blessed!
Why do you like teaching at CLS?
I love teaching here because the parents are so supportive. We cover each other in prayer and want our kids to walk in truth.
How are faith and learning integrated at CLS?
As teachers, we guide our students to follow Christ throughout our whole day. Jesus is woven into our curriculum. We also want our students to be aware of what they say, do and how they think about others.
How do you make a spiritual impact on your students?
I remind my class to put others first and love others as Jesus first loved us.We want to be kind and respectful to others all day long.
What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
I was a CLS parent before I became a teacher. My kids were engaged throughout the entire day and loved going to school. It was evident that their teachers loved Christ and had a passion for teaching my girls. Eventually, the Lord nudged me back into teaching after my girls were in school, and now our CLS story is woven together to glorify Him!
What sets CLS students apart from other students?
Parents and teachers are passionate about building Christ-like character and respect in each other.
