Congratulations to the CLS Mock Trial Teams on a very successful weekend at the regional tournament! Twelve teams from surrounding high schools competed at the tournament, held at the Law Enforcement Center in Racine. The tournament is hosted by the State Bar of Wisconsin, with professional attorneys and judges scoring the competition.
Christian Life sent two teams, finishing second and fifth. Additionally, each member of the team is scored on his/her performance. On different aspects. CLS students received multiple perfect scores, which are not handed out lightly. The runner-up team has earned a place in the state tournament held in Madison, although they will not be attending due to prior conflicts.
Teacher and coach, Jolynne Sunday, was impressed with both teams. While they were competing against each other, the two teams got along well and were constantly rooting for the other. The competition was a team effort, and every student left being confident in what they have learned and performed. CLS and Mrs. Sunday are extremely proud of you all!
